Washington Workers’ Compensation Claims
Too often, injured workers find that the workers’ compensation system is not there to help them when they suffer an injury at work. Either the Department of Labor & Industries (“L&I”) or a self-insured employer deny benefits, deny claims, or make the process lengthy and unworkable.
As lawyers representing injured workers, our role is to help our clients receive all the benefits the law allows. We help injured workers with:
- Proving the injury and the vocational impact from the injury
- Obtaining medical treatment that is being wrongly denied
- Obtaining full compensation under the Industrial Insurance Act
We represent clients in workers’ compensation claims throughout the administrative process, and, when necessary, in litigation at the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and in civil court. We have handled workers’ compensation cases all the way to the Washington State Supreme Court.
When workers are injured through the fault of a third party, we also represent workers in personal injury claims against those responsible. Additionally, if an injury prevents future work, we represent workers seeking Social Security Disability or SSI benefits.
